SERVICES OVERVIEW

PHOTOMASKS

Photomasks are glass plates used to optically transfer images of integrated circuits onto semiconductor wafers. Today's chips have multiple layers and each layer requires its own photomask. Digidat partners with the world's leading photomask providers, so we are often able to obtain better pricing and secure quicker turn-around times than most independent buyers. Let us show you how easy it is to work with Digidat.

LAYOUT

Layout is the process of converting a sketch, engineering drawing or other descriptive format into a CAD format suitable for creating a high-precision photomask. The GDSII data we produce is checked by our proprietary "MaskCheck" program and guaranteed photomask ready.

PROGRAMMING/AUTOMATION

We reduce time and costs by writing programs that automate repetitive tasks. We can write programs and scripts for you that will automate repetitive tasks such as data generation, fracture and paperwork using DW2000 GPL, GPE, Cadence, Synopsis CATS, Microsoft Access, UNIX or VAX VMS.

DATA CONVERSION TO GDSII

Error-free data conversion is essential to receiving the exact photomask that you expect. We provide data conversion and fracturing services between all formats, including GDSII, DXF, MEBES, CIF, Gerber and BMP. Our custom written conversion programs detect and fix many data issues that are not corrected in off-the-shelf conversion programs.

DIGIRESTORE-REVERSE ENGINEERING OF PHOTOMASKS

Through a unique process of extremely accurate, high resolution photography and digital scanning, we accurately reproduce GDSII data from photomasks. This is particularly useful in recreating designs that have been lost due to media degradation.

DIGIRESTORE

Digidat has restored GDSII data from photomasks for more than 10 customers and over 80 devices, ranging from simple CMOS designs with a few transistors to large designs that contain over 100,000 transistors with 1.2um features.

TESTIMONIAL

"Digidat has supported M/A Com with layout services and photomasks for more than nine years. I was pleased to discover that Digidat, Inc. was also able to accurately restore GDSII data from photomasks. We had missing data for four of our devices that we had in production and this service proved invaluable to us, many thanks."
